Burleigh
Discover the timeless elegance of Burleigh Pottery, the last of its kind preserving British ceramic design and craftsmanship. Founded in 1851 as Hulme & Booth in Burslem, Burleigh has crafted exquisite earthenware for over 170 years. Since 1889, production has been at Middleport Pottery in Stoke-on-Trent, known for its "model factory" design.
Burleigh’s commitment to craftsmanship is evident in its handmade pieces, produced by skilled artisans using techniques passed down through generations. Their distinctive tissue transfer decoration, with engraved copper rollers, is unique to Burleigh and imparts a special character to their ceramics. Burleigh prides to be the only pottery in the world still practicing this intricate and labor-intensive process
Burleigh’s rich heritage is reflected in their teaware, tableware, and gift items, made from durable, versatile earthenware. Each piece features intricate floral patterns and timeless motifs, adding elegance to any dining experience.
