Stefano Reolon

After earning his degree in Scenography and Costume at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, he gained significant experience assisting M. L. Amadei with costumes at the Arena–Filarmonico in Verona and working for several years as a scenographer at RAI UNO in Rome, as assistant to G. Castelli.

Alongside his talent, he has cultivated a constant practice rooted in traditional techniques. He learned to “make” his own colors as in the past, combining this craft with a free artistic approach that blends diverse languages—from comics to classical oil painting. He uses images in “layers” and embraces stratification, which for him acts as an archaeological palimpsest of his life, paralleling the layered history of Italian art itself. Indeed, Italian art is a unique stratification of styles—paintings, frescoes, architectures—unlike anywhere else in the world.

At the same time, he continuously updates his stylistic repertoire, embracing digital programs and photography, which allow him to expand and project his artistic universe further—driven by a creative momentum that refuses to stop or be stopped.
